Public learning shaped with communities.

The Institute is developing accessible educational activities with community partners to strengthen health literacy, prevention knowledge, research understanding, and connection to appropriate resources.

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT STATUS

Community offerings depend on confirmed partners and resources.

No recurring community-education schedule is currently published. Activities, locations, languages, eligibility, registration, accessibility services, and costs will be posted only after capacity, funding, and qualified partners are confirmed.

PURPOSE

Start with community questions and practical access.

Community education should respond to identified needs rather than assume what people need to know. The Institute may work with libraries, schools, nonprofits, faith-based groups, advocacy organizations, public-health programs, and other trusted partners to plan useful learning.

Topics may include prevention, movement and function, healthy aging, caregiver support, research participation, navigating information, rehabilitation access, and understanding emerging health-science claims.

POSSIBLE ACTIVITIES

Learning can meet people where they are.

Community workshops

Plain-language sessions delivered in familiar settings with time for questions and feedback.

Public-health campaigns

Focused educational messages developed with qualified subject and community reviewers.

Partner toolkits

Adaptable guides, discussion materials, referral information, and facilitator resources.

Caregiver and family education

Practical resources for communication, navigation, support, and realistic expectations.

PARTNERSHIP STANDARDS

Community voice is part of quality.

  • Documented need, intended audience, and educational purpose
  • Community input into topic, format, timing, and accessibility
  • Qualified content review and plain-language communication
  • Language access and reasonable accommodation planning
  • Clear referral limits and no collection of unnecessary health information
  • Feedback and outcome measures proportionate to the activity

ACCESS & FUNDING

Support will be offered only when it is available.

The Institute may offer free activities, reduced fees, transportation assistance, materials, or other participation support when grants, donations, sponsorship, or partner resources make that possible. Availability will be stated for each activity and will not be guaranteed in advance.

Commercial support, if accepted, will be disclosed and will not give a sponsor control over educational conclusions, participant information, or community partner selection.
