1. Voluntary contribution
A donation is a voluntary transfer intended to support the Institute’s charitable, educational, and scientific purposes. A donation does not purchase ownership, governance rights, research control, program admission, employment, a commercial benefit, or a guaranteed outcome.
2. Institutional status, EIN, and deductibility
ISO Metrik Institute, Inc. represents that it is organized in Georgia as a nonprofit corporation for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes. An IRS determination letter or other authoritative documentation confirming federal tax-exempt recognition is not currently published by the Institute. The Institute therefore does not presently represent contributions as federally tax-deductible.
EIN: Not yet published. Donors should request the Institute’s current written status and EIN documentation before relying on deductibility or initiating an employer-matching request, donor-advised-fund grant, stock gift, or planned gift. The Institute does not provide personal legal or tax advice; donors should consult qualified advisers.
3. Gift acceptance
The Institute may accept, decline, return, redirect, or seek additional review of a proposed gift when necessary to protect its mission, independence, legal compliance, financial stewardship, or ability to administer the gift responsibly. Complex, restricted, non-cash, related-party, or potentially burdensome gifts may require written review and approval.
4. Donor intent and restrictions
Unrestricted gifts may be applied to the Institute’s mission and responsible operating needs at its discretion. The Institute will make reasonable efforts to honor a lawful restriction that it has expressly accepted in writing. A donor’s notation or informal request is not binding until authorized acceptance is confirmed. If a restriction becomes unlawful, impossible, impracticable, wasteful, or inconsistent with the Institute’s purposes, the Institute may seek donor consent, Board direction, or other lawful modification.
5. Payment authorization and processing
By submitting an online donation, the donor represents that the donor is authorized to use the selected payment method and authorizes Stripe or another disclosed processor to complete the transaction. Payment credentials are entered through the processor’s secure checkout and are not collected in the Institute’s general donation form. The donor is responsible for providing accurate contact and transaction information.
6. Recurring gifts and cancellation
If a donor affirmatively selects a recurring gift, the displayed amount may be processed at the selected interval until canceled. Use a Stripe customer-management link if one is provided, or submit a cancellation request through the Contact Us page, by email to info@isometrikinstitute.org, or by telephone at (678) 632-3735.
Submit a cancellation request at least three business days before the next scheduled charge. Cancellation applies prospectively and may not stop a charge already submitted for processing. A completed recurring charge is reviewed under the refund standard below. The Institute will use reasonable efforts to confirm a completed cancellation.
7. Receipts and gift acknowledgments
Stripe, WooCommerce, or another disclosed processor provides payment confirmation through checkout and may send a transaction receipt when configured. The Institute intends to provide a separate gift acknowledgment containing, as applicable, its legal name, the donor’s name, gift date and amount, designation or accepted restriction, a statement concerning goods or services, and the Institute’s current status and deductibility disclosure.
Contact the Institute if an acknowledgment has not arrived within 10 business days or requires correction. Donors should retain both the available processor confirmation and Institute acknowledgment. Neither document is personal tax advice, and a payment confirmation alone does not determine deductibility.
8. Donation refund and cancellation policy
One-time gifts are generally final. Submit a written request within 30 calendar days of the transaction for a duplicate charge, unauthorized payment, processing error, incorrect amount, or other exceptional circumstance. Include the donor name, transaction date, amount, receipt or transaction identifier, reason, and safe contact information; do not send card or bank credentials.
The Institute will review the request, verify available records, and consider applicable law, payment-processor rules, use or restriction of funds, and fiduciary responsibilities. A request does not guarantee a refund. If approved, a refund will ordinarily be returned to the original payment method and any affected acknowledgment will be corrected.
9. Employer matches, donor-advised funds, stock, and planned gifts
Donors should contact the Institute before initiating a match, grant recommendation, securities transfer, beneficiary designation, estate provision, charitable trust, or other complex gift. The Institute must confirm its exact legal name, current status, EIN, eligibility, acceptance, and transfer instructions in writing. Do not send assets to unverified brokerage, DTC, wire, or account instructions.
Donors and sponsoring organizations are responsible for independent legal, tax, and valuation advice. An Institute signature on a form acknowledges only what the form expressly states and does not necessarily confirm a donor’s claimed value, deductibility, or third-party eligibility.
10. Sponsorships and institutional independence
Research, education, community, and event sponsorships may be considered under a written agreement. Any goods, services, recognition, or other sponsor benefit will be identified and valued when applicable. Sponsorship does not confer research control, endorsement, improper private benefit, program admission, or guaranteed results. Institute decisions remain subject to governance, conflict-of-interest, scientific-integrity, and public-benefit safeguards.
11. Donor information
The Institute does not sell, rent, or trade donor lists or share them for another organization’s marketing or solicitation. Information may be retained and disclosed when necessary for payment processing, acknowledgments, accounting, auditing, legal compliance, fraud prevention, professional advice, or administration of an accepted restriction. See the Donor Privacy policy.
12. Documented support areas and no guaranteed allocation
The donation page identifies current mission areas supported by the Institute’s Research, Education, Programs, and Impact pages. Those examples describe intended purposes and current planning needs; they are not completed outcomes, audited allocations, spending promises, or guarantees that a particular unrestricted gift will fund a specific project.
13. Changes to these terms
The Institute may revise these terms as its donation methods, programs, status, or legal responsibilities develop. The version posted when a contribution is submitted will generally govern that transaction, subject to applicable law.
Donation and major-gift questions
Contact the Institute before completing a restricted, non-cash, planned, sponsored, or major gift. For recurring-gift changes, receipt corrections, or refund requests, include the transaction details needed to locate the gift but do not send payment credentials.
